Kidz for a Cure (KFAC) event held at the Cancer Center of Santa Barbara's parking lot from 9 a.m. until noon.
Local youths bring their gently-used toys, activites, etc, to the event on set prices for their sale. the bargain. They haggle. But, ultimately, they sell their items and all of the proceeds go to help fund pediatric cancer reserach through the Cancer Center of Santa Barbara. It started quite by accident. Madison wanted to raise oney to help kids with cancer. So she cleaned out her room and asked her father if she could sell the items at a yard sale. The next day, her four-year old sister asked the same, and they realized if she could inspire one child, why not the entire community?
