Annual Start! Santa Barbara Heart Walk
The goal of the Start! Santa Barbara Heart Walk is to raise $160,000 for heart disease and stroke research. It also aims to help improve lives by promoting exercise, such as walking, as a regular part of life.

Description: The Start! Santa Barbara Heart Walk is a celebration of the American Heart Association’s groundbreaking national Start! movement that calls on all Americans and their employers to create a culture of physical activity and health in the workplace and in their homes to live longer, heart-healthy lives. The Heart Walk promotes physical activity and heart-healthy living in a fun family environment, while raising much-needed funds to fight heart disease and stroke, America’s No. 1 and No. 3 killers.
The annual tradition in the Santa Barbara community is expected to draw Attractions include a 5k walk, a fun-filled Wellness Festival featuring health screenings, food, a Kids Zone for the little ones, music and more. Registration opens at 9am, festivities kick-off at 10 am.
