Description: The thirty-nine works featured are loaned by S.B. residents Sally and David Martin, who began collecting California Scene paintings twenty years ago after discovering these artists’ unique ability to understand and capture the area where they lived and worked. Variously named California Scene Painters, The California Group, The California School, and California Regionalists, the painters featured are an extension of the American Regionalist movement depicting the American landscape and its people.
