Wilderness Spirit Award Gala Dinner and Benefit Auction

Description: The Wildling Art Museum opens its fall exhibition,Nocturnes, with a Wilderness Spirit Award Dinner and Auction. Honorees are Fred and Nancy Emerson. Dr. Fred Emerson is a popular birding and natural history teacher in S.B. and the Santa Ynez Valley, and his wife, Nancy, is a leader in Women’s Environmental Watch Save Our Skies program. Guests will enjoy the music of Luna Gitana, hors d’oeuvres prepared by Pure Joy, and wines provided by Alma Rosa Winery and Vineyards, Artiste Winery, Casa Cassara Winery and Vineyard, and Longoria Wines, while they watch Thomas Van Stein, a contemporary nocturne painter, paint a nocturne during the reception to be auctioned off later in the evening. A three-course dinner prepared by Pure Joy and a live auction conducted by Jim Fiolek will follow in the courtyard of St. Mark’s Episcopal Church next door.
