Peace Day 2008

This event aims to both celebrate inner peace and communicate to students the importance of maintaining inner peace despite living in a hectic environment.

When: Thursday, May 29, 2008, noon to 3 p.m.

Several ways to achieve inner peace will be shared. People from all walks of life may find something they can relate to. Visitors to Peace Day can:
-sample vegan and organic foods
-donate to charitable organizations
-relax with a free ten-minute massage
-take part in yoga session led by Sunaina Karanwal
-listen to IV Food Co-op owner Melissa Cohen speak about reducing our dependence on corporate food
-become informed about the benefits of veganism to animals, our environment, and human health
