Description: UCSB Arts & Lectures presents award-winning photographer Joel Meyerowitz, a Distinguished Visiting Fellow in the UCSB College of Creative Studies, who will give an illustrated lecture titled "Inside the ‘Forbidden City’ – Eight Months Photographing Ground Zero." A commemoration of 9/11, Meyerowitz’s recently-released book Aftermath is an extraordinary archive of Ground Zero after the attacks on the World Trade Center. GQ Magazine writes “Joel Meyerowitz’s monumental Aftermath – a book of eerily elegant large-scale photographs of post-9/11 destruction, recovery and clean-up – feels long overdue.”
