Description: The Santa Barbara Trails Council is hosting a two hour presentation Monday night at the Faulkner Gallery. The event begins at 7pm and features slide show presentations from various backcountry experts and Forest Service rangers on current trail conditions. Since the end of the Zaca Fire last September, most of the San Rafael and Dick Smith wildernesses have been closed to the public. Learn more about which trails may re-open this spring and which will need to remain closed. See dramatic pictures of the trails and learn more about the impacts on wildlife. In addition, join the Trails Council as it honors Kalon Kelley with its annual Environmental Award. Public invited: no cost for admission.
