The fifth anniversary of the illegal U.S. invasion and war-occupation on Iraq will be March 19th 2008. Cindy Sheehan is calling for all anti-war groups to organize into a solid united front for fifth anniversary actions-starting on Sat., March 15 and running through March 19/20. The Santa Barbara People's Coalition invites local progressives to join us in organizing our community response to this reprehensible anniversary.
We have reserved the Santa Barbara Sunken Gardens and Faulkner Gallery on Saturday March 15th, 2008 in expectation of a peace & justice rally and workshops. Our vision is to bring people together against the war and channel this energy to build & grow community networks for mutual aid. We are calling on good ideas and good collaborators to help us in our effort.
We ask all local progressive organizations to send at least one member representing your group who will coordinate with us how you want to participate in this community event, RSVP to:
