Chuck Wolfe, UCSB Film and Media Studies Professor, provides the introduction and explores the notion of Hollywood as idea and ideal through a different film each week.
This week: Rebel Without A Cause. James Dean, Natalie Wood, and Sal Mineo star in this landmark film of teenage alienation, directed by Nicholas Ray, showcasing the skills of a new generation of Hollywood actors who came into prominence in the 1950s.
