Description: Learn how to help protect the Earth’s natural resources. Activities include building homes for toads, frog crafts, learning to find local animal neighbors, and mask making.
This Earth Day the Santa Barbara Zoo invites visitors to a day-long celebration to discover simple and fun conservation practices that make the world a better place for animals and people. Families can take part in environmental activities such as building homes for toads, planting wildlife friendly plants, learning to find local animal neighbors, plus there are frog crafts and other fun activities for kids. There will be animal encounters, including the debut of the Zoo’s newest species: colorful tomato frogs from Madagascar.
The Zoo is also collecting unwanted cell phones to raise money to help Western lowland gorillas in the wild.
