Fringe Festival

Many performances over many days

When: Wednesday, April 16, 2008, 7 p.m.

Where: Westmont Festival Theatre.

Cost: $7 - $10

Age limit: Not available

Categories: Theater

Description: The Fringe is Westmont's yearly festival of original theatre and dance by students and faculty. This year's festival will be April 15-19 with 17 productions on 4 bills. Performances will be each night Tuesday through Friday at 7 p.m. and 9 p.m., and Saturday will be an all-day marathon of all 17 pieces.

Tickets will be $7 for one bill, $10 for any two bills, $17 for an all-day Saturday pass, and $25 for an all-festival pass.

Each production is an original adaptation from a work of literature. The pieces are written, directed, designed and performed by students, with the exception of one dance piece choreographed by dance professor Victoria Finlayson. Several pieces this year are inspired by the stories of Hans Christian Anderson, though they won't look quite like the stories from our childhoods.
