Description: Guest Speaker Dr. Michael Fisher of the Diabetes Resource Center of Santa Barbara County will speak on the long term effects of the epidemic of childhood obesity, the mission of the Diabetes Resource Center and the Carpinteria Childhood Obesity Initiative.
*Dedication of after school garden to Ed and Nadia VanWingerden
*All members of the community are invited to join this free celebration: pick a pumpkin in the pumpkin patch, participate in family math games, read a book with a child, view recreational activities, take part in garden activities, sign up to contribute time as a mentor to a child, and learn more about CUSD After School Programs.
