Four Months East

Follow local boy Blake Hunsicker of Santa Ynez as he makes his temporary home in the Mid-Levels district of Hong Kong Island. Using the YWCA as his base of operations, he will explore Hong Kong City and China proper and, if he fills out the rest of his dreaded visa applications, Vietnam, Cambodia, and other neighboring countries. For four months he will attempt to assimilate into cultures he knows nothing about, speak in languages said to be impenetrable, and discover what the hell Chinese food actually is.
