Sound description: If the modern-day incarnate of Headbanger’s Ball had a theme song, it might sound something like EverneveR. With one foot planted firmly in the Alice in Chains-era past and another pointed toward the future, their recent release, Rest for the Wicked, is the kind of music that’s made for fist pumping. —The Indy

History

At first glance, the only common element among the four of us is we are all transplants (Georgia, Mississippi, Mexico, and Long Beach). We all found Santa Barbara to be a new place of hope, and as beautiful as our hometown is, we created EverneveR as a safe outlet for all of the ugliness and negativity that still simmers within us. We formed in the winter of 2006 after the demise of our previous bands A Transitory State and Masterstroke. We recorded a four song EP at Orange Whip Recordings in April-May with Thom Flowers, which is called Rest For The Wicked. Our previous gigs have been at The Wildcat, Velvet Jones, Alpine Ventura, Muddy Waters, The Majestic Ventura Theatre, and The Knitting Factory in Hollywood.
